We will contact you by email or Fax to confirm we have places available on the date you have requested and will hold your places for 24 hrs. We will also issue a proforma invoice confirming the amount of the deposit and giving you the payment options available.
We accept cheque, all major credit cards, amex, paypal and TT payments. Deposits are generally 10% of the total price. If you are booking within 45 days of departure 50% deposit will be required. If you require a customised itinerary or special arrangements 50% deposit maybe required. In order to fly the routes as described in the itineraries please make your reservations as early as possible since many flights can be very difficult to secure less than 6 weeks prior to departure, indeed some are completely filled 3 to 6 months before departure.
60 days prior to departure we will ask you to pay 50% of the balance.
Final payments are due 30 days in advance of the tour. Final payment must be received by our office 30 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 30 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, AMAZON HOLIDAYS.COM may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.
Refunds, Cancellations and Changes
If a cancellation in writing is received by Amazon holidays.com not less
than 60 days before departure, your deposit will be refunded, less an £85.00 per person service fee. If you must withdraw or make a change 60 days or less prior to departure, the following fees will apply:
- 60 Days to 31 Days prior to departure 30% of total.
- 30 Days to 15 Days: prior to departure 60% of total
- 14 Days to Day of Departure: 85% of total (100% thereafter)
Amazon Holidays do not offer flights as part of the package price. We find that many of our customers like to book their own flights.
As part of our client service we will search our data bases for the airline or agent providing the best price air tickets in your country.
If you are in the UK you will be directed to a fully IATA or ATOL bonded travel agent or consolidator. The travel agent or consolidator is independent of Amazon Holidays.com and your purchase will be made with the travel agent or consolidator directly. Airport tax is due for all flights departing UK and EU. For all other flights (including return to Europe), if not collected in advance by the airline, airport taxes must be paid by the Traveller at check-in. Please check with the airline in advance if unclear whether airport taxes are included in your fare.
All our hotels have been chosen for location and/or atmosphere. Hotels reserved for our tours are rated as 3* and above. The exceptions are jungle lodges and local lodgings in remoter locations e.g. Brazilian Upsides and Peruvian Hospedajes. All hotel and guest house rooms provide en suite private bathroom with bath or shower and toilet. All types of accommodation are clean, comfortable and well located to facilitate guided sightseeing.
Some foods in South America will be familiar to Europeans and other
nationalities. Many new and amazing styles and flavours will also be found. Our Hotels will usually provide meals in an international style from produce locally available as well as many local dishes. If you have special dietary requirements please inform your guide of at your first meeting. Our guide will do his/her best to accommodate your requirements.
A limited number of single rooms are available at the supplement shown for each tour. Triple room accommodations may also be available on a limited basis.
Prices Do Not Include
Beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, personal expenses including passport & visa fees, optional sightseeing tours, and all other items of a personal nature. Tips and gratuities are not included.
Travel Insurance such as trip cancellation, lost baggage, and emergency medical, is also not included. As a legal requirement we will need details of your travel insurance prior to departure.
