Forest plants- orchids and Bromeliads flower- Beaches available to enjoy, Turtles breeding,, Anaconda, Manatee, giant Otters, Hoatzin birds, Sport fishing catfish peacock bass stingray, etc.		Riverside houses stand in water, use canoes as transport from door to door. Flooded forest environments- Boa, Morpho butterflies, Terns, Poison arrow frogs. Bats.	Dolphins, Butterflies, Tarantulas, Macaws, Toucan, Egret, Giant Amazon kingfisher, Piranha,, Monkeys, Caiman, Tree frogs, Heliconia plants, turtles, forest snakes, Nutria Otter. Armadillo. Peccary.

BIG CATS.- Black Panther , Puma, ocelot and Jaguar are all found in the deep forest around Leticia and in the Yavari Valley. To reach area where Jaguar live takes one day of trekking through deep jungle . You will almost certainly see evidence of the presence of these animals. Chances of seeing these animals are low. There is a relatively high element of danger in these expeditions and clients are required to sign disclaimer before undertaking expeditions.

CONFRATERNIDAD AMAZONICA - Every July in Leticia there is a week long cultural festival celebrating the “amistad’ (friendship) between the three countries. There are concerts every evening from popular Peruvian, Brazilian and Colombian groups, parades, sporting events and a fair in the streets of Leticia. A team of sporting contestants, dancers etc come from Iquitos to participate. There is a party atmosphere in Leticia for the whole week.

PIRARUCU DE ORO

In early December every year a music competition is held over three days for the prize of the ‘Pirarucu de Oro’ a trophy. Singers and bands from all over Amazonas come to participate in the evenings on the open-air stage in the centre of Leticia.
